Our curriculum aims to provide enriching opportunities for learning and development, following the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and embracing aspects of Montessori education. Your child will feel safe and secure with the consistency and structure created by regular routines and intentional teaching, but will also guide their own learning based on their natural curiosity, taking part in individual and group activities with plenty of opportunities for spontaneous play and learning.
We have individual, well organised classrooms that cater for different age groups and offer a stimulating educational environment that awakens each child’s inner curiosity.
We aim to have as much fun as possible with the children so that we may all laugh together and learn while playing. Children learn best when they are having fun!
Our curriculum aims to help each child achieve the 5 learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework :
Children have a strong sense of identity
Children are connected with and contribute to their world
Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
Children are confident and involved learners
Children are effective communicators
We also embrace the Montessori method and philosophy towards education, offering prepared environments, and encouraging children’s independence and agency.
Montessori education involves 5 areas of learning:
Learning opportunities are presented through a variety of purposeful materials that encourage the children to be actively involved in their learning, giving them opportunity to question, experiment, develop independence, respect for others and problem-solving skills. Children are supported to learn about caring for the environment, caring for themselves, and caring for others.
Kindyhub is a 2-way communication app that allows families to share information about their child and access photographs throughout the day. Each day your child attends, a daily report will be sent out to families, describing the learning that took place. Our educators will record important milestones and information about your child’s development, and these observations will be sent out directly to families.
